HIAG Solar joint venture launched

HIAG Solar was founded jointly by HIAG and aventron, a company specialising in electricity production from renewable resources. The joint venture aims to use the rooftops of HIAG properties to produce electricity in the most optimal way possible.

Initial study demonstrates the development potential of HIAG’s Pratteln site

A mixed-use district with up to 400 apartments and commercial and office buildings, including around 500 workspaces and spacious public outdoor areas, is being built at the HIAG site in Pratteln. The details of the winning project by Buchner Bründler Architekten’s Basel office and Berchtold.Lenzin Landschaftsarchitekten are currently being worked out as part of a master plan.

Real estate portfolio and development pipeline significantly expanded with acquisitions in Solothurn, Reinach and Winterthur

HIAG acquired four commercial properties from BR Bauhandel AG (Richner and Baubedarf brands) in a sale-and-leaseback transaction.

Yielding portfolio strengthened with long-term lease of a logistics property in Buchs (AG)

The acquisition of the logistics property, which was fully leased to a solvent tenant in the European clothing industry, significantly increased the value of the yielding portfolio.

Seamless follow-on rental of the logistics property in Brunegg

HIAG signed a 10-year lease for the logistics property with a leading Swiss wholesale distributor for the catering, hotel, healthcare and retail sectors.

The new Doka office building in the centre of Niederhasli is composed of three floors offering workspace for 60 to 70
employees, exhibition and training areas and a modern staff canteen.

Fixed-rate bond of CHF 160 million successfully issued

The fixed-rate bond with a coupon of 0.75% and a term of seven years seamlessly replaces the CHF 100 million bond due on 1 July 2021 and strengthens HIAG’s financing structure.

Building permit granted for the first stage of the large CHAMA project in Cham

HIAG is building approximately 140 new apartments and condominiums and 3,000 m² of flexible-use office, service and retail space in Cham near Lorzenpark. The beginning of construction is planned for the spring of 2022.

10 Zentrumsprojekt Niederhasli Srgb

New centre project in Niederhasli

HIAG and SBB Immobilien are jointly planning a new centre right next to Niederhasli railway station in collaboration with the municipality. Around 300 apartments, shops, restaurants and spacious green areas are to be created over approximately 17,000 m². Doka Schweiz’ former commercial halls will house various interim uses until construction begins in 2026.

1st place for the annual report 2020 (design category)

HIAG’s annual report earned a top award from the Swiss Annual Report Rating in 2021 for the sixth consecutive time, with first place in the design (print and online) category.

12 Kunzareal Windisch Srgb

Start of the latest new building project at the Kunzareal site in Windisch

The “Kessel House” designed by the Basel architectural firm Harry Gugger Studio in collaboration with Erne Holzbau will be a filigree hybrid-timber construction with 24 2.5 room apartments, small shops and common areas on the ground floor. Construction is planned to start in September 2022.

With the sale of properties in Aigle, Basel, Biberist, Bremgarten, Windisch and the Zurich Oberland area valued
