COLUMBUS EXPERIENCE DAY
08. December 2022
On Saturday, 3 December 2022, visitors to the Columbus Experience Day got to strike out like Columbus and discover new territory of their own.
For the first time, the CHAMA construction site was open to visitors, who could look around in the company of site managers from Halter, the building contractor. Curious visitors could view the shell of the Columbus building and get a sense of what life in the new district might feel like in the future, from the basement to the first floor.
Although they had already pored over the apartment configuration tool and the various design ranges of the apartments in advance of the event, there was still a lot to see and play around with in the showroom. Visitors were able to see how different colours go together, feel the materials, find out the extras that come with the new properties, and learn about the features of the exclusive Poggenpohl kitchens. There was plenty to occupy little ones, too – a special corner was set up for them to play, paint and get creative.
Anyone interested in the neighbourhood vehicle-sharing service could test an electric car or e-bike from the future CHAMA fleet at the AMAG mobility station, try out the booking app and ask the experts any questions that came to mind.
The guests also listened closely to Michael Meyer from Credit Suisse as he outlined the current interest rate environment and mortgage market. Getting proper information and advice is half the battle. Guidelines for financing a condominium and information on the reservation and purchase process can be found on the website.
Dr. Dog kept the guests fed and watered throughout the day with a range of seasonal treats and mulled wine. Visitors could pop into the marquee to warm up and refuel before resuming their journey of discovery.
