HIAG Achieves Rental Success for its Site in Neuchâtel

After having signed leases with the canton at the end of 2014 concerning the 1'600 m2 administrative complex and a 3'250 m2 operational area, HIAG is finalising the renovation of the existing industrial building. HIAG signed two long-term leases with two groups that are leaders in their respective markets: Migros and Luigia, a popular Italian restaurant chain in western Switzerland, which will be opening its 7th Swiss restaurant in Neuchâtel. The renovation work will begin in March 2018, with the opening planned for the first quarter of 2019. Discussions are ongoing with a third tenant of equally high quality for the remaining 680 m² of surface area.

 

These leases confirm the development and valorisation strategy implemented since the purchase of the site in 2013 for this very well-positioned complex, which is near the train station and city centre in a residential area with excellent public transport access. The site will be further developed with the preparation of a quarter plan for the construction of a residential project.
