À St. Margrethen, où HIAG a été fondée en 1876 en tant que société de commerce du bois, la nouvelle usine de Stadler Rail constitue aujourd’hui un centre intergénérationnel pour le développement économique de la vallée du Rhin saint-galloise.
Description
Jusqu’ici, Stadler disposait des droits à bâtir. Le 3 novembre 2020, environ 66'000 m² du site ont été vendus à ce constructeur suisse de matériel roulant. Le reste du site à St. Margrethen demeure dans le portefeuille immobilier de HIAG. Ce terrain continue à être louée par une grande entreprise de logistique, qui bénéficie également des droits à bâtir, et sert de parking. Une extension de la zone centre-ville de St. Margrethen étant actuellement à l’étude, le site offre un potentiel supplémentaire de redéveloppement.
