Sandra Genhart works at the HIAG office in Basel as an HR manager.
Describe your job at HIAG: what are you responsible for?
In my role, I am responsible for the entire HR life cycle – from hiring new employees to providing support when employees leave. In addition to ensuring smooth payroll processing, my main tasks also include the comprehensive handling of all administrative tasks in the HR area. I am also available to employees as a point of contact for concerns and questions related to personnel-related topics.
What do you like most about your work at HIAG?
What I like most is the diversity of my field of activity: no two days are the same, which makes my work day exciting and varied. I particularly appreciate the high degree of personal responsibility in many HR processes, as well as the direct contact with employees and my colleagues.
What are the biggest challenges in your day-to-day work?
One of the biggest challenges is the introduction of new programmes that require a high degree of flexibility and the ability to learn quickly. At the same time, this gives me the opportunity to constantly expand my expertise and develop myself further.
