This brings the installed capacity to almost 1 MW. A further expansion of around 4 MW of capacity is planned for the next two years. HIAG Solar will then install a total panel area of around 20,000 m2 and generate solar electricity of 4 million kWh per year, which corresponds to an annual CO2 savings equivalent of around 1,200 tonnes.

HIAG Solar is focusing on large roof areas with corresponding economies of scale and returns on equity in at least the mid-single-digit percentage range.

The purchase of building-owned solar power is increasingly becoming a requirement for users, who are also focusing their value chains on sustainability. In times of rising energy prices, green electricity from one's own roof is also very welcome economically.
