This means that the installed capacity exceeds 3 MW. A further expansion of around 2 MW of capacity is planned for the next two years. HIAG Solar will then install a total panel area of around 21,000 m2 and generate solar electricity of 4.5 million kWh per year, which corresponds to an annual CO2 saving equivalent of around 1,300 tonnes.

The focus of this expansion step was on the Klingnau industrial park (www.gewerbepark-klingnau.ch) with correspondingly large roof areas. The largest system to date was realised on the commercial building at Weierstrasse 5, where a system with around 850 kWp will supply the future tenant with energy at interesting conditions.
